Brian Battle

Brian Battle is an athletics consultant for Fortify College Athletics, bringing over 30 years of experience in NCAA intercollegiate athletics and higher education.

Throughout his career, Battle has held various administrative roles at multiple NCAA Division I institutions. At Florida Atlantic University, he served as Senior Associate Athletic Director for Internal Operations and Interim Director of Athletics. He also served as Senior Associate Athletic Director for Administration at the University of North Carolina - Greensboro. Additionally, Battle held the role of Associate Athletic Director for Compliance at both Florida State University and Georgetown University.

These roles provided Battle with extensive experience and direct oversight in key areas such as academics, compliance, facilities and game operations, financial operations, sports medicine, strength and conditioning, equipment management, and transportation. His sport administration experience spans baseball, men’s and women’s basketball, football, golf, soccer, tennis, and track and field.

In addition to his NCAA Division I experience, Battle has also worked with NCAA Division II and III institutions as an athletic consultant at Lynn University and as a board member on the Saxon Nation Athletic Board at Alfred University. Recently, he completed his first year as President of Alfred University’s Athletic Board. For the past eight years, Battle has also served as an adjunct professor in the College of Business at Florida Atlantic University, where he teaches “Introduction to Sport Management.”

Battle has played a key role as Bowl Game Administrator for the Boca Raton Bowl and Conference USA Football Championship, and he has been involved in NCAA Tournament site committees for Baseball, Men’s and Women’s Tennis, and Men’s Basketball. Additionally, he has been active in the NAAC ACE mentoring program and the Mentor Me CABMA program. His contributions extend to various institutional committees, including those focused on Emergency Management, Compliance and Ethics, Child Safety, and the intersection of Athletics and Academics.

Battle holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a minor in Political Science from Alfred University, where he was a member of the Men’s Basketball Team. He also earned a Master of Science in Physical Education with a specialization in Athletic Administration from Florida State University.
